Question 1

What does a wedding photographer do?

Accepted Answer

A wedding photographer documents your entire wedding day including getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, reception, and the candid in-between moments you may not even see happening. At So Many Moments, we specialize in documentary wedding photography that captures real emotion, humor, and authentic storytelling. As an award-winning husband and wife wedding photography team based in Sandpoint, Idaho, we focus on natural moments rather than long stretches of posed formal images.

Question 2

What makes documentary wedding photography different?

Accepted Answer

Documentary wedding photography focuses on real moments as they naturally unfold rather than heavily posed or staged images. While we may guide a few portraits, the majority of our work tells your true love story. We observe and capture genuine emotion such as laughter, tears, quiet exchanges, and the energy of your celebration. Rooted in photojournalism, this approach results in timeless and authentic imagery.

Question 3

Why should we hire two wedding photographers?

Accepted Answer

Hiring a two wedding photographer team ensures twice the perspectives. While one photographer shadows the bride, the other is with the groom. It allows two artistic viewpoints during fleeting moments like walking down the aisle or cutting the cake. So Many Moments is always photographed by Sam and Matt, an award-winning husband and wife team with over 15 years of experience working side by side.

Question 4

Why do you offer half color and half black-and-white wedding photography?

Accepted Answer

So Many Moments intentionally photographs weddings in both color and black-and-white. Sam photographs in rich, true-to-life color while Matt photographs exclusively in black-and-white, even in camera, focusing on light, contrast, and emotional depth. This dual approach creates a wedding gallery that feels both modern and timeless.

Question 5

Why shoot black-and-white instead of converting later?

Accepted Answer

Most wedding photographers convert images to black-and-white during editing. At So Many Moments, black-and-white photography is intentional from the moment the shutter clicks. Matt composes specifically for shadow, contrast, and emotional intensity. It is not a filter but a creative discipline rooted in photojournalism.

Question 6

Is So Many Moments an award-winning wedding photography team?

Accepted Answer
